  • I love it. Her voice is like cold electricity, I can't explain it, but it's just so piercing.

Her "Touch me" from when she's singing 'Memory' always does that to me too.

  • Betty Buckley is simply a great talent...enough said...;-)...

  • what r your other 2 top favorite recordings of broadway songs?

  • You are awesome. I also love to revel in all the tiny details and nuances that make a perfect recording. Your enthusiasm makes me smile every time I come back to this vid! Betty is amazing. I had the privilege of taking a few classes with her - she's truly a master of her craft.

  • That you for exposing me to awesome broadway songs that i TOTALLY would NEVER have listened to. You should do some kind of segment like great songs you've probably never heard, i dont know.

  • Thank you for introducing me to this musical. I tracked down the rest of it on you tube. I can't stop listening to the whole thing. Also, I have been listening to your other deconstructions and I think your genius.

  • This guy is HYSTERICAL !!! He is EXACTLY like JACK on WILL&GRACE when he is 'teaching' his 'acting class'

  • oh my lort. i LOVEEEEEEE betty. she's brilliant. this piece is one of broadway's best kept secrets.

  • She's a passionate lady! I always enjoy BB; she's an all-around great talent. Although the delayed note approaches are dated (70s), I like this arrangement. Hearing it live MANY times, rest assured the final note in this version is not her best by a long shot; it's tentative (the attack) and relatively weak (for Betty, that is!) In general, the vibrato is a bit goaty, tone is nasal/strident, and the diphthongs aren't soaring or open, but it's tough to beat Betty's passion, energy, and spirit!

  • one of the most exciting "betty" performances for sure! i got to see her sing this live in Drood and we "second acted" it more than a few times! LOL LUCKY LUCKY LUCKY!!!

  • wow that last note and what a talent she is ! and seth your obsession is awesome thanks for sharing it
