My dad shopped at TSS all the time! I remember it like it was yesterday. The one in Brooklyn is now Linden Multiplex Theater

TSS was amazing! I remember going there as a kid in the early to mid 80's in Middle Island...you'd go in, stop at the smoke shop, get some baseball cards, then they had the best toy section ever! Wall to wall toys! Then you'd always get a soft pretzel on the way out! BRING IT BACK! lol.

LOVE these "back in the good old days" commercials. TSS sounds like it was a really store. I wish I could've seen it,and shopped there.

I worked at the TSS in Sayville, NY in 1985. Having worked and shopped their I can safely say: "You wern't missing much."
TSS went out-of-business in 1990, and the world has been a much better place since then!.

"Tempo is the spirit of the way you live...how you give each moment all you've got to give!" I haven't heard that Avon jimgle in 30 years, but sometimes I still hear it in my head (no, I don't need meds!) Nice memory!

TSS. I used to get my hair cut there as a kid by some old hippie with a bead curtain as a door; it was right next to the record store.
