SRBG2 Preview Alpha Review

SRBG2 or SRB2G or whatever it's called is a remake of the fangame Sonic Robo Blast 2. Yes, I'll admit, it's a preview alpha. And yes, good games can be made with Game Maker, but it seems to have a few internal weaknesses. The commentary is just meant to be for fun, so relax and enjoy the video.

I had a few issues with CamStudio so the segmentation is a bit off, and I also missed a few aspects I wanted to cover. Ah well, maybe in another video.

Game Maker is terrible in the wrong hands. Any good coder can make an amazing game (Mushrom Kingdom Fusion, look it up).

I know this has nothing to do with game quality, but personally I prefer a Mario game that doesn't try to tie in with some other universe.

I'm talking more along the lines of Flywrench.

this game looks awful and the way the gameplay looks i give it 1/10 gold rings. this game is a epic fail.

Hmm... Level 1 is a sunset level; act 1 has azure lake music, act 2 has angel island act 2 music... Reminds me of the older versions of Sonic Megamix (Before it became a sega CD game)

It was originally made with Macromedia Fusion or something like that, but it's currently being made in Game Maker. ;D

Wow. It's amazing that things like this can be accomplished in Game Maker, although this example seems to have many problems. Even so, I'm pretty impressed by how far the boundaries of Game Maker were stretched with this.

You know that Game Maker wasn't designed for 3D games, right? The 3D functions are simple, slow, and limited, although I do agree that the creator could have done much better with this. Unless you're talking about a different Game Maker than I think you are.
