  • glad it didn't pass.

  • Your claim about the effort levels is not true, I personally can tell you that. Teachers are teachers because that is their passion. There are great, and not so great, teachers in any school setting, private or public. Was this survey done including the local workers or of the local workers? I was not aware of any survey conducted and would very much like to read it myself. Taxes change due to need, just because you don't want them doesn't mean we don't need them.

  • The state is giving the county $ 20 million and the county is taking what they NEED $40 MILLION more from you the tax payees.Wise up and visit the tax office and see how much your taxes will increase?

  • Most parents send their kids to private schools because private school teachers put more effort in teaching and homework, better dress codes and discipline. If an election can be bought? By listening to the radio stations, someone is spending big bucks to have the bond passed. Survey done included the average local workers are 100% against the bond,When the ecomomy is so bad now,WE DON'T NEED HIGHER TAXES!

  • Your an ill idea

  • I like you u are right lol....

  • As far as sports are concerned, there will be competition everywhere you go. Shielding kids from this fact only leaves them even less prepared to enter into the real world.

  • Many students look at private schools in order to get the education they need to succeed in college. Colleges all over the country are having to offer lower level classes to make up for inadequate public education. Fayette County is be no means an exception to this rule. If there are better options out there then truly concerned people should be trying to promote them.

  • Most kids don't get a good chance to learn on the same level as the rest of the nation with the schools in their current condition. Sorry about your luck when your kid tries to go to college and become a successful person but at least they got to play sports.

  • Who cares about the sports anyway when nearly every school in Fayette County is terrible at sports? Sports aren't everything, and the rest of the state is laughing at us. Either way, even if this doesn't pass (and probably won't), it will only be a matter of time before the state does take over. The state is giving the county money they NEED, and it's simply foolish to pass this up. I know from my experience, OHHS was falling apart - and it's a bit newer.
