Thumbs up for dudes who managed to save lexington even after staying in confed and discovered the very hidden story where Adm tolwin is gay XD

I've made the choice to fight Maniac and beat him (lol), but yes, there are unlimited waves of fighters that keep coming and the Intrepid is impossible to destroy and eventually the Lexington goes down, so it's a game over scenario. Maybe one could use a cheat, like in WC2 where it's a one click key and a ship is destroyed, but I don't think that would do anything either since the game is not scripted to be able to preserve the Lexington and destroy the Intrepid.

You might be able to save the Lexington, but I'm fairly certain you fight against unlimited waves of ships from the Intrepid if you don't defect. There are no missions for the Confed side past this one, so saying no pretty much ensures a game over scenario.
