This is a test using Johnny Chung Lee's Poor Man's Steadycam. It's an agglomeration of plumbing parts and grips which he sells to support himself at Carnegie Mellon where he's a student. Anyway, my brother-in-law, Tom Sylla, and I did a test using it. You can see that it keeps my crappy little Sony SDR-H18 really square on going up and down stairs and following me as I walk from my condo, outside and then back in.

  • Looks solid I still think it wouldn't hurt to suggest looking into a Cam Caddie. I've been using one for about a year and its been great capturing steady movement.
