As far as I'm aware, he wasn't trying. RHCP are far and away my favourite band, and I'll defend them tooth and nail, but have you even listened to his song? You can say what you want about the music, but it's from the heart. He spreads the same message as is said here, and for that I'm glad it's gained a lot of publicity.
