hey,
I had a craniotomy in June to help fenestrate an arachnoid cyst in my fronto-temporal lobe.
Ive always had a shunt to drain it, but over the past 10 months ive had alot of troubles with shunting, so they thought a craniotomy fenestration would be the best option. Bloody hell, never again. My scar was very much like yours! ...the side of my face swelled like elephant man. I was back in surgery 3 weeks later as it failed, so had another shunt put back in, bleugh back to problems now. lol. x

yeah my hair grew back over in no time and the wound was pretty well healed after only a few weeks. Good luck.

well the hair has grow back over the bit where i had hair and it's not that noticeable really....The op hasn't really stopped me doing anything...i was a bit unlucky in the op though as i got an infection,somewhere, and had to have a part of my skull removered and now have a metal plate in my head...don't let that worry you though as i've not heard of another person who has had that happen. Peace
