Zac Shavrick makes a sculpture out of metal . Higher resolution and put to the Life Aquatic Soundtrack . The figure is one in a series of about 12 known as the Dumpster divers and will be located on the front lawn of Brakewell Steel Fabrication inc. in Chester, New York . • Wow.. that's awesome. I am kind of new to sculpture but love it, and actually I was wondering if you have any tips on making the human head. I am going to attempt to weld one for my sculpture two class(actually i need to weld 2 it!) and they need to be 4ft in any direction. Any advice would be much appreciated. You are very talented.

    Thanks.

  • get the shape of the head right first and it's all downhill from there.

  • zac , the dumpsters are the goldmines, from a fellow metal sculptor

  • thanks Sean, your chrome sculptures are out of this world.

  • I am a woodcarver, and i enjoyed your video,as soon as i figure out how to do it ,i would like to add one to utube.Liked the rapid progression,do you have any suggestions or how to info.on your editing process.???

  • Find a camera that has a Time Lapse video option ( I use a cheapo nikon kool pix) and set it on a tripod focused on your work area and then go about business as usual. Also a second battery is really helpful as is a memory chip.

  • You rock man!

  • thats really great. I like this time lapse stuff. You should figure out a way to lock the head on a stand so you can take it off, work on it, and remount it in the same position and take stills of it timelapse style and put it back on, along with this method on the next one. If you want. great video. 5*s
