@LearnMyShot it's on the tripod but still when your finger presses down on the button you push the camera down and it bounces up because it's not fully stable since most tripods only secure it from one side. What most people do though is use a remote control so that they don't get any movement... I know this is random but this is what I know XP

@LearnMyShot does it depend on lighting too? coz i use 1/60 and it's kind of dark and still not sharp. (I'm learning photography) I think I've been doing good when it comes to close up shots, but this time I'd like to take pictures such as athlete's or someone playing.

Why did you turn off the image stabilator?

@huudiduu if you tap shutter release you will hear IS mechanism buzzing as it will try to level off vibration. (what exactly it does I am not sure) but the point is that when on tripod there is no vibration so no point for IS to work and try to stabilize vibration that is not there...
