Cozy is an Australian Labradoodle and recently graduated from NEADS (National Education for Assistance Dog Services) from Princeton MA during the Fall of 2009. She was born to be a service dog, was donated to NEADS by breeder Judy Hickey. At 8 weeks, Cozy was put in the Prison Pup Program and spent her puppy years at a minimum security prison for a year, alternating with a puppy raiser during the weekends. When she turned 16 months old, she returned to the NEADS kennels for advanced training and after we were matched, I spent 2 weeks at the NEADS campus so I could be trained with her. To keep her sharp, we practice her tasks everyday.
Wow! Very impressive! My Service Dog In Training is almost there! I hope she's just as talented as your one day. Your dog is beautiful too.
