The Turkic peoples are Eurasian peoples residing in northern, central and western Eurasia, and who speak languages belonging to the Turkic language family. They share, to varying degrees, certain cultural traits and historical backgrounds. The term Turkic represents a broad ethno-linguistic group of people including existing societies such as the Azerbaijani, Kazakhs, Tatar, Kyrgyz, Turkish people, Turkmen, Uyghur, Uzbeks, Hazara, and as well as past civilizations such as the Huns, Bulgars, Kumans, Avars, Seljuks, Khazars, Ottomans, Mamluks, Timurids, and possibly the Xiongnu.

Many of the Turkic peoples have their homelands in Central Asia, where the Turkic peoples originated from, but since then Turkic languages have spread, through migrations and conquests, to other locations including present-day Turkey. While the term "Turk" may refer to a member of any Turkic people, the term Turkish usually refers specifically to the people and language of Turkey.

  • hello fellow Altaic language speakers.

    subject-object-verb.

  • In many references, Azerbaijanis are designated as a Turkic people, due to their Turkic language. However, modern-day Azerbaijanis are believed to be primarily the descendants of the Caucasian Albanian and Iranic peoples who lived in the areas of the Caucasus and northern Iran, respectively, prior to Turkification.

  • @Fordeserve1 Scientific Academy of Turkey is all about islamist scums.from 2002.After death of Ataturk these cocksucker islamist scums always denied Turanism

  • @gagauzin88 Do you think that Scientific Academy of Turkey is also anti-turkic?

  • @Fordeserve1 Because they cant support these kind of ideology legally.Russian cocksuckers killed all Turanist brains from 1931 to 1988.When u are not indepent country economically u cant do anything like that.Opening an academy about Turanism or Turanid culture is not just a simple thing. All russia and eur-asia are frightening about this idea.thats why they dont let them .

  • @Fordeserve1 it s ur fantasy not the others.fck all these european mahor encyclopedias.of course u cant find the true information about Turks and Turanids there like 2000 years.İt is ur bullshit that it is all dream.U all ll see what kind of dream it is in 50 years.

  • @Turqashgai First of all, Turanism is not supported even by the scientific academies scholars/scientists of turkic countries. That's why I call it romantic dreams and tales.

  • @Fordeserve1 1.) What is turanism and what are turanid nations ? 2.) Isn't the indo-european thesis a politically motivated idea ? 3.) Does closing eyes change facts ? 4.) Was this genetic research done on over 350 million people ? 4.) Is similarity reduced to genetics ? 5.) Are western encyclopedias (that have lacks of information) undisputable ? 6.) Eg: Hungarians and Turks certainly have similarities, common things like culture, language, looks, history, roots, customs, beliefs etc.

  • Turanism is not supported by real scholars like the academic scientist & scholars (Historians Geneticists and linguists) of the world. All major national encyclopedias: like the Encyclopedia Americana, English Britannica French Larousse and German Brockhaus Encyclopedia considered Turanism as a politically motivated Pseudo-scientific idea. The results of genetic researches (DNA haplogroup markers) also rejected the idea of relations between the fantasy"turanid nations"
