  • Love the demo and really want to buy one, if I can find a good example. I rate the Pro 5 but know this is more stable and not so difficult to get parts if it breaks down. Similar to Pro5 but not as flexible where programming is concerned but still sounds great. What do you reckon?

  • The P600 is a little bit underrated. Very good analog sound but a bit different to the P5.

    Really a great synth.

  • Nice sound demo!

    Sounds great!

  • thanks :)

  • würd noch sehr gern ein prophet 600 demo von dir hören, mit vielen bass sounds, und sequencersounds. Pads sind doch eh nicht unbedingt die Stärken dieses Synths. Korrigier mich wenn ich falsch liege.

  • Du suchst also immer noch?

  • Can a juno make the sound at 3:21 seconds????? If not what other syths can do that

  • fantastic sound!

  • @retrosound72 - It just seemed odd that it had 1 more voice, but was 'thinner'-sounding. Then again, when these were still fairly new, I picked up a Memorymoog Plus for $750...I wish I'd held onto THAT for another year when it's value shot up 5-8 times what was before. :-(

  • Great demo! The sound of the 600 is still SCI Prophet, but different than the P-5, mostly due to the modulation capabilities.

I used to own one of these. Arguably the nicest sounding synth I ever laid my hands on.

  • 0:51 this could be turned into an "ah" choir

how on earth did you make that sound? i didnt think it was possible to make "ah" choirs on an analog synth...

if anybody knows how to do that please let me know

  • the prophet.

    i am a prophet also.

but this synth is tres good.

  • This was my first synth man I miss it

I'd spend hours making patches and patches

  • Had much joy recording with the original Prophet 600 at a small Pittsburgh studio. The owner was a monster player himself and we conjured some vibes that are still with me today. Thanks for posting the majestic Prophet 600!

    One Love
