  • To everyone, check out my channel I've uploaded 4 new exclusive Watchmen clips; The Tenement rescue, the Keene Riots, Dan and Rorschach's "Good friend" scene and Dan visiting Veidt (instead of Rorschach, though). They're all great!

  • come on guys, u no this will be incredible

  • when i read the graphic novel i thought that doc manhatin had a lower voice

  • Truly an awe inspiring film. I hadn't read the graphic novel, or done any real research before seeing it, which is far from my usual custom, so I was unsure what to expect. However, in the end I was completely blown away!

  • I totally agree. Alan Moore gives me the creeps; but hot damn, he's creative.

  • That's because Moore meant Rorschach to lampoon Objectivists, and Steve Ditko's views in particular. Objectivists are atheists.

To be fair to Moore's worldview (much of which I very much disagree with), as an anarchist he believes that any sort of leadership comes with it the real potential for self-righteous evil. This is especailly true for "heroes". Watchmen applies this mainly to American cultural icons.

I would take him more seriously if he wasn't so in league with 60's era Leftists.

  • Amen to that.

Rorschach is a rough-hewn view of right-wing views and Deontology, whereas Veidt is more left-wing and Utilitarian. Both characters are meant to be shown as characters you DON'T want having total power.

Oddly, Rorschach seems to be an atheist. That doesn't fit the modern conservative movement perfectly.

  • Is Take A Bow by Muse featured in the movie or is it just used in trailers?

  • I've preordered the DVD

  • I still haven't seen this

  • The funny thing is, Alan Moore meant Rorschach to represent "conservative" values, and made him as unappetizing as possible. But most of his fans immediately indentified with his worldview. Moore expresses disgust about it in one of his inverviews. It's hilarious to watch.

That's partly why the movie was so much better than the graphic novel. So much of Moore's pretentiousness is cut out of the film version, and the story's been tightened up. No wonder Moore's so furious about it.

  • Rorschach is the most Badass guy ever!! :)

  • Rorschach wasnt thrown out of the glass. The Comedian was.
