I do corn blasting on cedar, redwood and log siding. Does soda eat away the softer farts of the wood?

It does eat at the softer areas if not careful, however it is minimal and we found that a little additional sanding before finishing made a huge difference and the depressions disapeared

Would soda blasting damage or mark fiberglass if the teak was left on the boat and blasting was performed?
