  • Hey Casino. Thanks for those kind comments. It is still sitting for sale in Scottsdale, AZ. I'm now managing a very nice late model Citation Excel for a company in Connecticut. Nice plane and very 'modern' compared to the old Lockheed L-1329.

  • What's the climb schedule like with the 3D mods. Any difference? Time to FL40? Thanks for the great video!

  • It increases the "allowable" climb temp to 905 degrees.....and cruise at 885. We didn't do that, we felt more comfortable using 849 as our "max" except for take-off...these engines ran so cool, we reached max allowable N1, prior to 849 under most flight conditions. I miss the old girl...GREAT Machine.

  • Thanks for posting - agree with what G550 said, awesome videos. A real treat to see a well maintained Jetstar still plying the airways. Having looked up N65JT on FlightAware, seems like she's been parked up for several months... Still airworthy?

  • Thanks Guys....Very, Very airworthy....but it is up for sale......It'll make someone a GREAT aircraft.

  • The aircraft is amazing. I can't describe it in 500 characters of less. NO trim issues with different power on different engines. When we begin our descent, we typically bring 1 and 4 to idle, if we need less power, then 2 or 3 to idle....we try to reduce power on the engine with the lowest fuel tank to "balance" things. The speed brake on the bottom of the plane is VERY effective...doubles the rate of decent. For landing once the aircraft has landing flaps we use all four engines to 35 ft.

  • This is one sweet airplane. Glass cockpit and looks like it could handle like a fighter. 4 engine testosterone power, what more could a pilot want.. I wonder who has it now (video is now over a year old) and I sure hope they take care of it. Despite the high cost of fuel and insurance these days, the upgraded engines surely exceed TBO... if I ever win the lottery...

  • Can it be flown with only one pilot ?

  • What is the fuel consumption with four engines ? Range ?

  • Nice Landing.

  • Saw many of these Aircraft, always wanted to fly one, something to be said about some of the older models. This Plane was well built and very reliable.

  • can this go on water?

  • hi jd,

yes, know all about modern,... 'manual/mechanical/metal' - 'computer/fibre optic/composite'...different ride now...mind you, they go up like elevators don't they?!!.

.thanks again for posting that gem, just watched it again,..a very 'royal' aircraft that particular one...an excellent reference point in the history of aviation to date!....a keeper :)

  • yes, it is without doubt an excellent posting!..a very smooth aircraft..I was on rotary, so is double smooth for me :)) .. thanks for that..

and yes I saw it listed with KAC...looks regal.

an awful lot of plane for that price!

    what you flying now?

  • She's a beauty
