It is primarily designed for use against vehicles and explosive targets. Snipers dont use 50. cal rounds lol. There is no such thing as "50. cal sniper rifle".

It's just units of measurements. The 7.62 is .308, the 5.56 is .223, .50 is 12.7, etc.

Yep, the .308 and .223 represent the diameter of the bullet in inches if I remember correctly.
