http://www.aviationvids.com Incident is a Boeing 737 landing at Birmingham, UK with the right landing gear missing, after tearing off the starboard gear when attempting to land at East Midlands Airport in bad weather. The pilot missed the runway and landed in the grass, doing extensive damage to the aircraft. He was able to fly some 40 miles to Birmingham, where the incident was caught on video by the West Midlands Police helicopter.

  • The only mistake was that in 0:41, they overcorrected the balance.. which resulted on a left wing tip hitting the ground which forced the right side to also hit the ground.. They could've balanced it more.. but well done!

  • granny wont find out somthing acually was wrong!

  • end of this month have this Video 5 million views

  • @MrMadonplanes No it wasn't. The Plane was originally landing at East Midlands on AP when the Pilot knocked it off by mistake, sending the Aircraft off course into the grass, tearing the Right Main off in the process. The Pilots Performed a GA, but diverted to Birmingham where they made a Manual Landing. The Pilots got sacked for their part in the Earlier incident.

  • One of the smoothest landing I have ever seen.

  • TNT is a Dutch company, it delvers pakages.

  • Both the Pilots got the sack for this, the plane was landing at Birmingham on Auto-Pilot, the captain mistakenly switched the wrong switch (the Auto-Pilot).

  • It's a moot point wether this pilot was to blame in the first instance by attempting a landing at EBX when the weather was clearly below limits. The obvious solution would have been to divert to BHX where the conditions were near-perfect, thereby avoiding the situation altogether. All that said, this approach and landing were copybook stuff - the dual-line braking system obviously still functioning to allow the pilot to balance the drag of no.2 engine.

    Good job :-)

  • @TheGoaltender94 I don't know where i got the full story from, sorry. I'm sure you can find it.

  • there's a sign tnt on the back of the airplanes, explains the landing HAHAHA
