The Manfreds are the reunited core members of Manfred Mann without Mann himself. Originally gathered together to help promote a television-marketed compilation of the old group's 1960's hits, Mike Hugg, Mike Vickers, Tom McGuinness, Paul Jones, and Mike D'Abo enjoyed playing together sufficiently to extend their reunion activities by years, past the middle of the 1990s. In 1999, the band released their debut, 5-4-3-2-1, and a live album followed the next year

  • @I85PIES That will be Tom on guitar. I think Benny Gallagher on bass of Gallagher and Lyle fame. Also Mike d"Abo on right hand keyboard. I thought they were using Mike Vickers on flute at that stage, not Voorman.

  • @bloderme

It's hard to be sure with his shades on, but he looks like Tom McGuinness to me.

  • @Baskerville22

I saw the Manfreds at Cromer Pier Theatre last night, and I can assure you, Paul does still have it. They all do, they were brilliant.

  • Is that Klaus Voorman on the right? The tall man in the black suit and sunglasses?

He was in the band at a much later stage.

  • @mlillly1 I love the many coments to the effect that "Paul still has it". It's pretty easy to maintain the standard when miming...

  • They're miming....it's the original version you can hear that, but it is my mums fave Manfreds song.

  • just Fabulous !!!!!

  • Pretty they are miming.

  • As good as ever the very best nothing holds a candle to Paul Jones absolute Magic as good as they were in 1964 what a sound

  • @so17931p - it is indeed Bernard Joseph Gallagher. I saw the Manfreds in concert in Southport in '92 and he was in the line-up. Rob Townsend (Family/Blues Band) is on drums, while Mike Hugg shares keyboards with Mike d'Abo.
