what's the easiest faction to play as in this game, on any difficulty?

I've only played The Holy Empire, and England, and already was enemies with France, Scotland, and Denmark within 15 turns....bastards...

@Magnum49r I'm not sure myself, but my favorite is Spain cause minus Portugal your basically all by yourself...plus you have a nice mountain range to the north to protect you from France. You get a nice range of unit through out the whole game. Last you can attack the Moors without having to worry about the pope getting ticked off at you. But that's just my opinion I not sure which faction is the best/easiest to be.

@SultanEzrail Egypt is annihilated easily by the mongolians...The Turks end up with 1 or 2 provinces left, ,the Byzantine empire loses all eastern provinces and the crusaders lose (again) Jerusalem....Then after a few possibly failed crusades and jihads to constantinople, the Timurids arrive...Then you just say HOLY SHIT but there is no god to help you...:)

against the mongols its best to be egept because thay got royal mamulkes best horse unit on the game stronger than all others and can charge down all units on any difficulty

@dividednation44 Just raise two stacks, nothing crazy or big, and confront them the thing is you have to let them conquer a territory, that makes them split into every direction, divided they fall.Oh and remember before mongols come, always have a castle/fort/citadel with the best cavalry/infantry/archer/armour buildings, it helps a lot! And make sure that citadel is always near your capital in case mongols attack it first.

@Justinian43 nice mate! but i am not as good as a strategist at that point "hunting down horse archers with heavy cavalry" but your tactic is sound, i will use loads of good archers and bribe the enemy, yes i am usually rich at that point but all the armies will down my economy to the last coin, i could barely sustain the 4 full stack armies of elite infantry and mercaneries i rallied against the mongol hoard

@SultanEzrail i don't think so, melee is good if you have capable cavalry to reinforce your infantry, however using archers is really good too so you got a good tactic there!

@dividednation44 diplomacy if you're rich bribe the stacks with no general, wait until they conquer a territory, that will divide them in all directions, pick them one by one, use a lot of good archers and heavy cavalry to protect archery, use the heaviest infantry you got and when the chance is given take out their general, first wipe out their missile cavalry wings with heavy cavalry, move archers and infantry forward. come around with cavalry and hit them in the rear! They will waver! haha

@Magnum49r For me it's byzantium. no pope to deal with, if you're clever you can use alliances to keep hungary off your back, hungary shields you from poland, turks are east but they never attack, navally you gotta take care of sicily and venice, and later milan, especially if you take regions of naples or palermo. The byzantines are really good against mongols by the way, yes even on normal battles, not once have i lost to those bastards =D

Mongols didn't have counterweighted trebuchets until the 1270s. What a FUCKING RETARDED VIDEO and who were the goddamn researchers. Fuck. You might as well show the Union and Confederates shooting machine guns at each other...
