'70 chevelle with 555 ci big block. 11:1 pump gas engine with a big solid roller, AFR 335's, vic jr., pro-systems HP1000 carb, 2" headers, 3" collectors, full 3" duals with x pipe running Pypes Race Pro mufflers. Electric cutouts are installed and are CLOSED for first run, OPEN on last run.
Car has a TKO600 trans and 12 bolt rear end in this video. GForce GF5R and Dana60 are going in this winter.
Engine made 792hp/701tq at the flywheel on a superflow engine dyno. Chassis dyno showed 618rwhp AT 5500 ONLY - data did not log up to the 6800 it was run to due to a dyno error. Based on the 70hp increase from 5500 to 6800 rpm on the engine dyno (horsepower peaks at 6800rpm), we are guessing we have around 670-690hp at the wheels.
Car will be back on the dyno in the spring. Engine built by Mike Lewis of Lewis Racing Engines, Laytonville, CA.

  • Think I´ve seen this video before at chevelles.

Great car ! How´s that 11.1 engine holding up with pump gas ?

    That tq curve looks sweeeet.

  • Thanks - it runs great. No problems what so ever. It's been driven in 90+ degree heat and high humidity, idling in traffic, etc. No detonation, no overheating (fingers crossed for it to continue!)

  • yeah she sounded like she had a bit more rpms than that in the bag...no sence on pushing it that hard tho...nice car buddy!!!

  • Thanks!!

  • Beautiful car!

  • Thank you!

  • Well, that's such a gorgeous car that I'll keep my comments about the big wheels and ultra low profile tires to myself. At any rate, there is no substitute for cubic inches. And I don't care how much power some little rice rocket makes with a turbo and NO, it will never, ever have that sound of a screaming American made big block. No little front wheel drive four banger with a turbo bigger than the engine will ever look or sound as good, or be just plain cool. Very nice!

  • @johnny3400 I once had a girl told me she came when I gassed it for her once. I'm sure she was exaggerating but that's sure as heck nice to hear lol

  • I like it!

  • nice car

  • wow, i think this is my new favourite car!

  • love the sound of a big block with cam work
