  • Regarding Christianity, I think it's true that Christianity is supposed to be based on acceptance and welcome where others have not been. The bible says God is love and illustrates how Jesus love a whore, a leper, a stoned woman and we are to follow that example. So a business owner not wanting to hire someone based on his/her perception of an image may be counter to principle.

  • This is a very interesting debate. I think--both of you are "right." I think there are times when an organization might have a mission that a person might go against, even if they are qualified and the organization has the right to nixx them. However I think religious organizations should not be exempt from the bill b/c in my opinion, alot of them are supposed to be following principle based in acceptance and forgiveness.

  • I think a business can't open the doors to the public and then discriminate. Unless it's a private club like the boy scouts.

  • wow yall look terrible!

  • i agree however even if the person was an Atheist would you still hire them....ah.. does it really matter as long as they help you get a profit or a sale? interesting huh?

  • But you have that right as an entrepreneur to hire or NOT hire any kinda of person...a company or a corporation has their own agenda..some GLBT people are welcome...some or not..

  • hey girls it's me abbie, I have out sick for awhile but, you know I was very curious about trans-people worked legally. I am an entrepreneur and I would hire a tranny in customer service but I would not go to church with person. Just on the strength that I am not philosophically/religiously condoning their sexual acts. As far as christian enteprises go anything that is not christian based, christian image, and child friendly would not be appropriate in stores.

  • There are transexuals and drag queens christians... I know a lot of them... we are all sinners... and to discriminate against an individual because you dont agree with their particular sin is CRAZY! Even though I don't feel like being a transexual or homosexual is a sin... But thats goes on to a different topic... I missed you guys on a video together!

  • Pedophiles and trans folk are totally not in the same arena. Being trans is not a crime. It's a well documented, legit medical term, while pedophiles break the law by trying it with kids. It's so ironic that they hide behind religion only to sling mud at others they deem "unnatural".

  • I personally feel that religious corporations & companies should not be exempt for equal rights to employment. They fell from grace too... they had to make a start in their lives. To turn people away because they are offended by them makes them the opposite of their goal... To me, it's unGodly... if that even makes sense.
