  • THE OFFICIAL WORD ON THE RUMOR:

It was debunked a while back by none other than the daughter of one of the models (I forget which).

The story is, Alex was a fun host behind the scenes, and sometimes he just felt like having fun and being silly for an episode or two.

So let it be known: he was under no chemical influence.

  • Alex was fun on this, and classy at the end saying "Keep watching NBC." He didn't want to burn any bridges. Good thing too, he hosted 2 great NBC shows in the late 80s/early 90s with Classic Concentration & To Tell The Truth.

  • The old commercials are great!

  • OMFG?! 1 minute commercial break? i love the past! (dont know the date :P)

  • @Jnelson09Returns:very true, they did this on a 1984 episode of the price is right, where bob barker, johnny olson, and the models pretended to be tanked and had many blunders during the episode....

  • @mverno2.......That would be Fred Marshmellow Fluffin Silverman. He did the same thing when he was with ABC.

  • i agree sugarbear522 as a game show fan whoever had the idea of taking these shows off was a real assbag

  • Those commercials were fuckin vintage man! NICE!

  • Whatever happened to those two models? Becky and Lauren.

  • Now... you don't need to look on the label for recipes. Just look on the Heinz website and look for recipes for Heinz 57.

  • and also Password Plus and the original Bill Cullen 1980 version of Chain Reaction, which like High Rollers w/ Alex Trebek and Hollywood Squares w/ Peter Marshall was the 3rd show axed on Dark Friday June 20, 1980.
