MathewsWire, in order to be saved you have to believe that Jesus-Christ is God and that He died on the cross for your sins. If you believe this in your heart, you will be saved. Actually, you have to take it on Mans word that God chose such 'Holy' Men. Also,as we have seen with the numerous fractured religions based on the several versions of The Bible, any man in any state to write something that will be considered 'Holy Writ' will put there spin on it.

Its the equivalent of another writer taking on another guys book. Even if he is a huge fan of the source material, he knows it has a core audience. And that these people WILL read what he wrote, regardless.

If you would read the Bible you would discover that God is its Author. Being that God is the author how can you trust God and not His word? God spoke to Holy Men of whom He chose, They wrote what He said, as recorded in the Bible. Not just any man wrote the Bible but chosen men of God. The words in the Bible are NOT from man, but God Almighty Himself! You are deceived and believe a lie. Read the Bible and the truth will set you free...Best of all, " God will reveal Himself to you." You sounded good up until we 'need a book>>to have intimacy with the big man. You may, as do many others may as well. But something people seem to forget is that God is Omnipotent. He knows. He knows your intentions, He knows your actions, and he knows what you are thinking. I dont feel he needs constant reminders that we believe in Him, for he knows this. He also knows how deep our devotions are.

A dont think a few pieces of paper matter to Him, especially if the words are twisted and untrue.

Theres alot of things that Christians, myself included r missing. Theres not enough room here to post it all but i can say this, Jesus was the ultimate sacrifce, he was pure & without sin!!! If he wasnt then his crusification, his rising & him sitting at the right hand of God interceding for us means nothing. That i can not accept. The same spirit that rose him from the dead is in us. We dont need a book to reinforce anything but we NEED a book, prayer communion to have intamacy with our Lord!

It is written that HE says that the Bible is HIS word. Keyword: Written. By man. My faith in God is internal. How many times throughout the course of history has a culture held up books and declared: "This is Religion."?

Was Jesus corrupt? Its possible. I didnt know him personally. And The Bible doesnt exactly follow his life story to thoroughly does it?

If you need a book to reinforce your faith in God, all the power to ya. I dont judge anything at face value, that includes my own beliefs.

Do you trust God? Because im sure that HE says that the Bible is HIS Word! So how do you trust in him if you do not trust his word? Sounds kinds ironic to me. Jesus was also human, so are you saying that he too is corrupt or anything that he touched? Hunny, Faith comes by hearing and its hearing Gods Word that gives faith.

God did not 'write' the Bible. It was penned by men, and therefore cannot be trusted. I trust in God. The second anything touches human hands, it becomes corrupt by those hands.
