Ouch. What about the sets? The complicated special effects for the time? The costumes?...Vivid colors?...Genius musical score?...Wow. Well, at least now I understand why "M16 Blows up in Kids Face" is a related video suggestion to this...Neither of you have seen the movie Vertigo.

@lauralovesbach Wow, seems like I struck a nerve. The movie did have some interesting set pieces and design, but even compared to movies of that time, it was nothing special. With the exception of Anthony Hopkins, the acing wasn't really that good. Keanu read his lines from a cue card seemingly and Gary Oldman chewed the scenery like nobody's business. Winona was passable, though she could have sounded a bit less cliched with her line delivery. Realize that this is my opinion, so calm down.

@kawaiigirls5 You're opinion is perfectly fine, but when you joke that Winona Ryder should have shown her breasts, and that Gary Oldman acted like he wanted oral sex all the time, how can you expect to not hit a nerve? That was hitting a little below (and above) the belt, you know? But in reality, thank you for getting back to me on this. I feel better now. Your written response has a more mature and coherent summary of your opinion of the film, and that I respect.

@lauralovesbach Like I said in the video, I'm not very mature about these kinds of things and I'm probably not the audience this movie was catering toward. I'd like to believe I was fair enough in the review to point that out, but I completely understand how fans could be offended. Thanks for the kind response all the same.

I agree with you in some ways but not in others. Keanu Reeve's performance did suck, but I thought all other performances were pretty well done. I didn't understand how you didn't get where the movie was going? It was pretty obvious to me, but whatever. This is my favourite movie, despite Keanu Reeve's poor performance, because of the intensity of it and the incredible, not mushy, love story of Dracula and Mina. So don't get why you didn't like it that much. Everyone likes different things.
