In 2008, Gwen Stefani and Laird + Partners commissioned FWY to produce the most fun, exciting, universe which personified 5 scents in the fragrance line of Gwens newest lifestyle brand- Harajuku Lovers live. In the period of 6-months, FWY designed a complete universe for the brands TV spots, website, online advertisement, packaging, and apparel. FWY fully directed the TV live action/animation, conceptualized the script, revised the story, and managed all voice over work. FriendsWithYou further developed original properties and concepts of the Harajuku Lovers brand, demonstrating how character development can be used to influence an emotional connection between consumer and product.
