4965 and 5043 on the The Great Western Incursion 20-02-2010

In this video we see 4965 Rood Aston Hall and 5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe, working Vintage Trains, The Great Western Incursion from Tyseley to Didcot and return.

We start at Stainswick Lane, Shrivenham, where we see some HSTs and a Micro light, before 4965 and 5043 thunder past.

We then go to Dicot to where we start by seeing 4965 and 5043 getting ready to depart. We also see ROD No. 5322 working the shuttle train at Didcot Railway Centre. We see celebrity driver Ray Churchill and TV presenter Dan Cruickshank!
Then 4965 and 5043 depart for Tyseley. Next we see 5322 shutting 57xx No. 3650 and 5101 class No. 4144 into the shed at Didcot.

Great Pairing, A Castle and a hall is brilliant they should have kept the steam era it whould have made my day and britain whould be realy popular being the only country to have kept using steam engines on the mainline.

But since the cost of fuel is now high the steam era might come back and then they whould hopefully rebuild the lost steam Locomotives from the Blow Torch.

Hi Henry, wow 2 locations, silly station anouncer, microlite, daft bod getting in the way, and is that a new camera and a new tripod, or did the tripod get taken along for a special day out at didcot?. joking, loved the light engine shot, steam and speed, very nice indeed, thanks.
