@gocanes93 I think you'll find that just as much banal pop music was forced down consumer's throats in the 60s and 70s as is now. It's easy to presume that the generation before you was perfect because you weren't around then. The only generation you can judge accurately is your own.

@gocanes93 I feel your pain, but you should use it as a motivation to improve the world of music. Go to clubs and patronize the people you think are making good music, let them you know you appreciate it, go to their shows, buy their albums, whatever. Or better still, make music of your own. It's not as hard as you think. There is no gulf between artists and ordinary people; artists are just ordinary people who have some specialized training. You can do it too! Get out there & make your mark!
