  • that was a sweet vid. do you think you can post a longer vid of it milling that part? or a different part. im thinking of getting a Sherline but would like to see how fast they perform.(or rather their capabilities.)

    I'll post another video next weekend with a round part machining 3 flat areas using a rotary table to revolve the part (4 axis machining). I don't recall exactly (traveling till Thursday) but I think the cuts were done at 5 inch/minute and the "rapid" move to and from the hole were done at 10 IPM. Sherlines don't run well above 20 IPM...
