Miles and Cody learn that people often revisit loss on special days such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other significant days. Grief isn't an event, but a process. When we lose someone that we love, we grieve for that person forever, yet the grief itself changes. On special days, however the feelings of grief may be that much stronger. I don't believe that time heals all wounds. Many still grieve over 35 years after a loss. I think it matters what we do in the time in terms of our grief work. Also I do think that as time goes on, the frequency that we experience those intense feelings of loss will begin to lessen as may the duration of the pain.
