Cleaning the car with spare Dyson DC05 which is 6 years old. This machine has had its motor burn out once in 2007 which I replaced with new motor,. This machine we only use as the one to clean car and do quick clean up and clean the tumble drier filter. Have a Dyson DC04 which is 7 years old no problems with the motor at all, only just had to replace a few plastic parts that broke. The turbine head is good for using on velour material which my seats are made from so the usual 'suction only' method isn't effective enough to remove the lint but the turbine head makes this chore a breeze as it brushes the lint out of the seats. The DC05 is a good for machine for its time.

  • How do u like the head

  • @raneve23 Iits ok, not brilliant. I only say this cos Ive tried other turbobrushes from others makes, like the Sebo K1 with a turbobrush and that was superfast and it was impossible to stop but the Dyson turbine head is not very aggressive at all.

  • Have you still got the DC05?

  • @stupidsheep883 Yeah, still have this, only use it to clean out the car.

  • @blakaeg thanks for ur fast response

  • @Chris242tt its already redesigned the dc31 :) i agree the dc16 was completly rubbish tbh and dyson dc31 is better for suction and high and low, switch and the empty buttons diff + more life of battery thats quite good if you buy a spare the only thing i hate is the battery life

  • @blakaeg the DC16 needs to be redesigned!

  • @WashingMachine27 The blue one smells like toilet cleaner, steer well clear lol

  • I see where you are coming from but look for example, the DC04 burnt out - the DC05 has come in useful. The DC05 is also used to clean out cars when we are given cars to clean, we make extra cash that way. The DC03, I don't really wanna sell it and anyway, I wont make much money from it. The DC16 handheld, its fine now, got new battery, that is great to use in car and when cant be bothered to get bif vacuum out, the DC16 can clean 1 whole room.

  • The Dyson DC04 is my favourite. It is an upright and its the most powerful cleaning performance off them all, even though the DC05 has stronger suction and the DC03 has the nicest design, the DC04 is the one I prefer and is the main one I use.
