Right now, Vermont has the opportunity to protect 40 high quality farms and thousands of acres of forestland. Protecting family farms and forests means producing local food, creates jobs, and pumps cash into our economy. Protecting our farms and forests is key to our energy future, water quality, public health, food security and our quality of life. When the opportunity to protect land comes along, the chance may never come again.
Very good message. Conservation can't wait because of many reasons and your video makes some powerful points.

Conservation can't wait here in California. It has been estimated that in 15 to 20 years all the large tracks of land with intact habitat won't be available for conservation. Due to development pressures the land available in the future will be in smaller pieces with more fragmented habitat, meaning lower conservation value. Our work is now.
