I, honestly, prefer Phil's version, not to piss off any Cyndi fans because I think she's pretty good too.

@ xXxemoBooksxXx: Actually, the real reason why it is not possible for Collins to have written (or 'wrote' as you so eloquently put it) this, is because it was written by Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg.

It's also not possible for Phil Collins to have wrote the song after he left Genesis, because he left in 1996, and once again, True Colors, the Original Verson was released in 1986.

A Hits album released in 1998 was very successful, returning Collins to multi-platinum status in America. The album's sole new track, a cover of the Cyndi Lauper hit "True Colors", received considerable play on US Adult Contemporary stations while peaking at #2.[36] Some of Collinss earlier hits (e.g. "I Missed Again", "If Leaving Me Is Easy", etc.) and other successes were not included in this compilation. - Quoted from numerous websites.

The original video for True Colors was released in 1986, by Cyndi Lauper, a full 12 years BEFORE it was ever released by Phil Collins.

See, even the video was out far before Phil Collins ever had a hand in it? Cyndi Lauper didn't even write the song, but she did sing it originally. Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly wrote it, and Billy originally wrote it about his mother.

Cyndi가 부를 때는 외로운 노래였었는데, Phil Collins의 노래는 훨씬 풍부하고 아름다움이 넘치네요^^
