  • Great job there om. That setup works well. Sent goosbumps fer sure . Now you get your QSL card and or certificate

  • Holly GoatBerries, Andrew! Excellent work!

    73, Peanut

  • Awsome. What freq was that on? Do they usually use one freq?

  • @tmbgator2 He's using the Arrow Antennas Satellite Antenna. Pretty much the ubiquitous choice for talking to birds from an HT. You can order one with a duplexer and everything from arrow antennas, or HRO carries them, and other vendors also. GREAT product, and USA made.

  • freaking cool!!!!

  • Congrats on the contact. I too made a few contacts with him. It's always exciting to get a response from the Space Station. For me it was a once in a life-tim experience as it would be for anyone it is an amazing experience. Kudos really go to Col Doug Wheelock KF5BOC for making so many ham radio contacts while in orbit considering how busy they can be up there.

  • sweet...looks like you and the doc are on an ISS mission togther...LOL. Thanks for sharing.

  • That's awesome! I have a similar setup except I use the VX-5R! Congrats! I may have contacted him once but no call sign confirmation so still trying. If only I were home during the excellent passes! LOL!

  • What a privilege! What type of antenna did you use?
