Entertainment for Musicians presents:

The latest epic from Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos. The format is on scrolling tablature called TABIT. The video is from a screen capture software, the audio is MIDI played through custom SoundFont Banks on a Creative soundcard. Credit for this primarily goes to Ekarin_M(diceman) and Anton Lidström, both from the PowerTab Community. Also iRoCk92 and RoadCheeseCalls, both from the Tabit Community.

In The Presence of Enemies, a lyric from Psalm 23:5 from the Old Testament is a musical journey about the first volume of the comic/manhwa called "Priest." http://faq.dtnorway.com/question/1098

Sam Raimi (director of the Spiderman series and The Hobbit in 2009) will direct the Priest film due out in 2008.

  • And just so everyone knows, since this files creation, another one with complete vocals has arisen.

So, one day i will get that up here. One day.

  • ya, i can almost read those tabs.

  • Full Screen helps.

    Thanks for looking. :)

  • Not really.

  • I went away from displaying the scrolling tablature altogether for that very reason. youtube compression blurs out the characters, as you can tell. Thanks.

  • Poor man's Guitar Pro/Powertab?

  • Guitar Pro is $60.

    Powertab is $0 FREE!

    Tabit is $19.

So, which one is for the poor man here?

Tabit is better than the others. But stay far away from their Forums. Yikes.

  • How did you get the screen capture on youtube?, Ive uploaded a few samples from tabit that ive made but I have to put it through windows movie maker and it sounds different :/

  • tabs is for beginners read notes

  • Thank you so much for this vid, it was a nightmare to try and get the rhythm from 1:52 to 2:08.........now comes the horror of the part imediatly after!!

  • Where's the version with Part II first? =[

  • sir may i download this? not the video, the notation of the tablature?

  • Damn, all of this sounds like heaven but my favorite part in the whole thig is IV. Slaughter of the Damned. =D

  • Blow the video up to full screen if you cant see it.

ROADCHEESE!! Thank you SOOOO much for doing this. I cant for the life of me count out the odd bit where it's 9/8, 5/4, repeat then 11/8. Now I can at least give it a go. You rock!

  • How is a song a waste of time suddenly when its length goes over the average amount that a retard can listen to before he is inherently bored. This song is a brilliant instrumental that just never stops being completely badass.

  • I don't think it was a waste of time. It's a great song but I've been looking for accurate tabs for a while now and even though you have them, it would still be really cool if I could see them better. Nice post though

  • Your vision must be absolutely terrible if you can't see it. I already have bad vision, and I need glasses. I'm not wearing any glasses, and I can see it fine. No troubles seeing it.
