Original Theatrical Trailer for this shocking tale, headlining a first-rate central performance by the under-rated MIMI ROGERS, in which a bored telephonist Sharon (ROGERS), undergoes a religious transformation as the 'end-of-the-world' nears, as foretold in the bible as 'the rapture'...

  • This was SUCh a great underrated film. Mimi was deserving of an Oscar. Challenging, flawed, uneven, brilliant

  • @xtractor8 As a Christian, I think it's a very thought-provoking film about the difference between faith and belief. I don't think most Christians who've seen the film were upset or felt underminded by it.

  • I saw this movie at random about seventeen years ago and was completely shocked by it. It takes a lot to shock me. Great movie, powerful performances, and themes that will have you talking for days after you see it.

  • A great underrated original film.with a lot on its mind.

  • @bigal838 I just referenced this movie trying to explain what 2012 was all about. It is a psyop designed to destroy our will and faith in ourselves.

  • Hollywood is full of beautiful actress's. Mimi Rogers is that only one that I ever had a crush on. From what I know of her, she's very cool and down for anything. Camping, fishing, flying, (no skydiving) skinny dipping, etc. If Tom Cruise broke it off with her, I'll kill the moron.

  • I love this movie. Mimi Rogers performance was so moving and the imagery so stirring. Her life and transformation mirrored my own in many ways. Departing a life filled with sin and keenly aware of the pain & torment in my soul in w/o God & peace in my life. In my own life I craved freedom from that bondage as 'Sharon' did. I am always so sad the movie ended the way it did.

  • @bigal838 A classic. One in a long line of pseudo-religious flicks, The Omen, The Reaping, The Seventh Sign, Bless the Child, The Omen. Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Prophecy, Constantine, Stigmata, etc..... The writers of these films do a superb job twisting Bible scriptures, but I have to admit. They are entertaining to say the least.

  • I found this movie to be VERY eerie and extremely shocking at times. I saw it in a theater back in 1991 and was so freaked out by it I had to see it again the following night. I consider it to be possibly the best horror movie I've ever seen.

  • Just saw this for the first time, and really enjoyed it. One of the decent films to slip through the cracks.
