it isn't referring to babylon in a geographical sense. rather a sense of biblical and moral sense. to the rastafari, babylon refers to the sin, or the wrong in life. because biblically, the babylonians were a sinful and wrong people, lead astray by their evil ways, or the "wicked walk" as he sings about. so it means to stay away from the sin and wrong doings of the world in which we live in, not so much as the war in iraq or afghanistan.
