  • Haha, oh my god. Shows how times have changed.

I just turned 15. I actually remember a time when most TVs were chunky and bulky. Now it seems everything comes on a super-thin HD television. It makes me a little sad....

Imagine, when I'm your age (guessing?), the modern TV won't exist anymore. It'll just be digital paper.

  • @1DanielChristensen judging by the furniture and the decore of that living room I am thinking this could be early 1980s. The room is totally void of any "Brady Bunch" feel. Maybe very late 70s....1978/79......but I think about 1982

  • I saw one of these last week in an old building I was doing some work in.

  • '

i remember that zenith color tv was built in with a phone line and speaker better than telephone

  • There was this weird trend in those days of consumer electronics that could blend in with furniture. Interesting idea, really.

  • I got one of these awhile back for free off craigslist, all it needed was the coolant changed in the 3 CRT's and a good cleaning, it's still to this day running at my moms house, they just don't build TV's like they used to, by the way it doesn't receive stereo audio via RF but can through its composite input (which is how it's hooked into the cable box) it and the 50" mtsubishi front projection set I have here have really kick ass sound, no 5.1 needed these things get LOUD!

  • ill bet you that TV cost a kings ransom back then

  • @qbanlooner 1984 was the year that the FCC officially approved built in stereo sound for TVs.

  • @paulj0557 The guy throwing it out was an idiot, unless it wasn't on garbage day.

  • Saw one of these on a curb once. Was hoping it was a stereo(lol).
