MONDAY: Advice for Lola- meeting my boyfriends parents

"Hi Ladies and Gents,

First let me say that I appreciate you all taking time to start this channel for trans ppl. I need some advice and transyouthchannel is the only place I know to turn to for advice.

So heres the 411. I am a mtf post op trans woman. I have been dating my bf for about a year. When we met he did not know that I was trans, Im passable. We were friends for about 4 months b4 we got into a committed relationship and I never told him I was trans until about 3 months into dating. He was confused and upset but still very understanding. Hes totally fine with the situation now, and since we are coming up to our 1 year anniversary he wants to introduce me to him family. Mind you we live in Canada and all of his family is in the states. SO they have only seen pictures of me on his facebook and spoken to me over the phone. Im so scared, Im so scared to meet them and they clock me. He is not concerned about that because he doesn't see me as a trans woman, he doesn't see anything musculan about me, and even though I feel Im passable, I just never know who has the "eye".

What should I do?! His mother asks me all the time when shes going to meet me and I keep putting it off saying that school is holding me back and my new excuse is my passport. He knows how I feel but because he doesn't see that when he looks at me its hard for him to understand what im worried about. The thought of meeting them makes my belly turn, his family is huge and I just dont know how I will be able to compose myself :(. I love him very much, and besides me being scared for myself, im scared that if they do clock me I just dont want to start no drama for hi, PLEEAAASSEEE HELLP.. Any advise would be appreciated.

great video Kit! I was in this very situation and My bf thought i should just tell them, cause he's okay with it. But I chose not and his mother being the snoopy cunt that she is looked at my meds in my purse when i wasn't looking and found out cause my legal at the time wasnt changed. so yeah the moral of the story....people who are close will eventually find out.....
