This is #6 in a series of videos on our HO model railroad. The music is "Leaving" by Musicshake. For the next video, I'll upload action at the Stiegel Valley Model Railroad in Manheim,PA. Ken Duke, Dave Gruel and I are members of that club. We'll come back to Columbia as more videos are made. Visit our website at

Wow. At 1:27, how many cars is that engine pulling? What kind of engine is it? Nice job!

I think they are double-headed K4 locomotives, but I'm not sure. The other guys that help are more familiar with the engines. I work more in layout construction, buildings and scenery. We run mainline trains with anywhere from 40-60 cars. We tried 105 cars one time behind a 4 locomotives, but it was hard getting the heavier cars up front, and some derailed at curves.

There are several places where our fascia needs changed. It's too high in some places, and not high enough in others. Our highest fascia is about 2 feet at Chickies Tunnel. I had to cut two openings in that fascia so visitors can see trains traveling through the tunnel, and so derailed cars can be easily removed from the tunnel.
We've been wanting to improve the visibility, especially for the very young visitors. You're right--this fascia can be lowered. Thanks for commenting.
