Hi, I have a two budgies that look exactly like yours, I just got them two days ago, and they are getting used to me quick, but they dont really eat, unless I literally stick the bowl in their face, do you have any suggestions?

@angel38325 Yes, just leave them alone for a few days. It can take a while for new budgies to get acquainted with their new surroundings, they are often nervous and won't do much of anything including eating until they get some confidence.

awwh, rocky is so cute, iv'e jus got a new budgie, we call him Dave, he's been wiv us 3 day's, he goes on your finger, seems very tame, but he very quiet, so i put alot of budgie singin on for him, i really dont want him to b board, wot sort of toy's shud we get him .

@MrPalbuk A new budgie will always be quiet until he is familiar with his new suroundings. After that, he can get very noisy indeed!

Any toy will do, but some budgies won't bother with them at all.

i so much enjoy your love of budgies. they are so lovable. i too love my budgie.

when he talks and sings, it makes me feel so relaxed. and he has a great personality. he is funny. god bless all budgies. they are truly a fantastic friend to have. so much more than a "pet".

Aww. Great vid! Got a budgie a few weeks ago, and we seemed to be progressing (she spent time on my shoulder the first day i had her)... but she's been avoiding me for days now. When I approach or try to pet her she flies away. I was away for a couple weeks for Christmas, and after Christmas we moved and someone dropped her cage - which I suspect is not helping her mood. She stares at nothing for hours (occasionally stares at her reflection), chirps to budgie vids on youtube. Suggestions?

Just to let you know I have a video if me and that very budgie on my channel, it is amazing the friendship you can get from a wee budgie, it is also amazing the different wee personalities they have. I have had budgies since I was a teenager, most of my life.

At the start when Rocky was pecking at your lips, I have a budgie that does that, he also tries to eat food from my mouth when I am trying to eat, it is nice, I let him a couple of times, although I think that is probably unhygienic. After I eat crisps, he walks all over me eating up al the crumbs.

I wonder if you know why he does this, he also does his naughty business on my hand sometimes and then he jilts his head back and brings up food. I just let him have his fun and then wash my hands.

Blue might benefit from having a few perches of varied diameter, our keet Pinky used to have a spot hanging from the side of the cage like her and we found out its because her feet were tired from holding on to the same size perch all day. Great video, they look happy!

I used to have a canary like your parrot. We used to kiss each other ;)

Unfortunately he's gone now... :(

And I just got a parrot last week... She looks like a canary though (all yellow haha). She is quite quiet, she didnt want to eat anything at first! I'm afraid she might not be as tamed as the canary cause she used to live with other parrot before he passed away.
