Let them fight Obama. Let them filibuster. Let them rant and rave. Obama only has to create a million or two jobs and save six or seven million houses and he will be seen as a savior. Come midterms the Republicans will be blamed for everything, the Democrats will be credited with every good thing that happens and guess who will sweep the votes?

The GOP is not finished yet. Yet. Give it a bit of time and a lot of rope and you will see them hang themselves.

"zero effect" is not only heavy handed, it's just wrong.

Thousand, if not millions, had their jobs saved by stimulus money, and many of them are positions like teachers (you know, those things that allow schools to run). This prevents greater collapse.

I also wonder if you even care about leaving open construction zones that would otherwise be completely halted if an area didn't have some of that stimulus money.
