North Carolina has a new law that could put people in jail for the worst cases of animal abuse. On hand for the governor's signing ceremony was Susie, who was a puppy last year when she was burned, beaten and left to die. (June 23)

  • GOOD LUCK NC-HERE IN SC-WE HAVE SHAW AFB MILITARY PEOPLE ABUSING DOGS AND PEOPLE-WHILE BEING PROTECTED BY SHAW AFB,ANIMAL CONTROL AND LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT(THE SHERIFFS DEPT CAPT D

  • All animals are special.. Eight months?!?pffftttt i think that's not enough!

  • Thank you, Governor Purdue, for strengthening the laws against animal cruelty in North Carolina. Sadly, it took Susie to be burned to a crisp and within an inch of her life for this measure to be taken -- her abuser only got probation.

The fine state of North Carolina has come a long way in punishing those who beat, starve, burn, and fight companion animals.

  • Only 8 months behind bars for this kind of crime isn't enough BUT it's a start!! Congratulations North Carolina!!! Congratulations!!!

  • God Bless everyone who made this possible. It is about time that people who abuse animals have to take responsibility for their actions.

  • God bless governor Beverly Perdue-wish every governor would take notice of this and follow her. we need this bad-there is too many animals being abused every day and people need to be held accountable. animals have feelings and we as people have to speak for them.so call your representative and tell them to follow Beverly Perdue actions. see if they are willing or do they think something like this is not important-if they don't maybe they aren't the right person for the job they have.

  • Good work!

Now more people need to contact their state legislators

(phone, e mail, traditional mail and fax) to push to more animal welfare

legislation on their state AND on a Federal level.

  • I'm done Storm....you'd think with a brain the size you claim to have you'd have a heart to match. Guess not?

  • @macemace1970 That last sentence seemed like a question... Hmm. Anyways, I'd love to read some Oscar Wilde with you, we can even spoon a bit, if you like.

  • Yes storm basic literacy left me when i posted a response to your heartless comment. Basic literacy doesn't equal physical combat skills you piece of shit.. why don't you stick to writing heartless comments on other videos.
