Minefield Activity. The object of this indoor activity is to cross the minefield to the other side without stepping on any mines (stuffed animals). A partner will lead a student (that has his or her eyes closed) across the minefield giving directional cues. Involves Physical Education and Language Arts/English strategies. These strategies involve spatial awareness and teamwork for physical education. For English/Language Arts, the activity involves speaking and listening skills. Communication is a big part of this project. Any grade level could use this activity, but it's mainly aimed for elementary students (due to the listening speaking skills). Instructors are Kyle Kraszewski and Jake Olbrich.
