Saxophonist Brad Leali, who seems to be pretty famous for working in the Count Basie Orchestra (unfortunately this was long after Basie himself had passed on) assembled a nonet to pay tribute to Count Basie and his swinging sound during a two-nights-only performance at the historic Blue Room bar in the American Jazz Museum Building on the 18th & Vine Historical District, Kansas City, Missouri. The group of trumpeters, trombonists, saxophonists, cellist and drummer, appropriately called the Brad Leali Nonet, became a tentet because they were joined by a German pianist. I really liked how they allowed each and every player in the tentet to have a solo of his own. The group didn't just play purely Count Basie music though; they also shared their own original compositions.
