Knit-One-Below (K1B) is a knitting technique that allows you to create vertical stripes, mix up variegated yarns and more. To see free patterns using this technique, check out http://www.chemknits.com
@tabbycattabbycat Unfortunately, without the hat pattern I cannot help you with K5b. Different people sometimes use different abbreviations. It is possible that means to K1B 5 times, or it means Knit into the 5th stitch below, or it could mean something completely different. I wish I could provide more help.
Can you please show how to k5b ? I have a hat pattern that calls for this and I am wondering if it's differently done than the k1b you show in this video.
