Video coverage of Senator Inhofe's reaction to the death of al Qaeda and 9/11 leader, Osama bin Laden.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Service Committee (SASC) and a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFR), tonight reacted to the news that Al Qaeda head, Osama bin Laden, was killed by U.S. forces.

"For almost ten years, our men and women in uniform have faced hardships in the effort to capture or kill Osama bin Laden for of his role in the 9/11 attacks," said Inhofe. "I congratulate our nation's finest for their tireless pursuit for justice. We rejoice that this monster is dead. While we have succeeded in taking out the head of al Qaeda, the effects of his death are yet unseen, and could span a broad range of possibilities. We must not let our guard down in the Global War on Terrorism, and we must remain ever vigilant in protecting our nation and its people."

  • @RightSensible - NEWSFLASH - you are wrong.

"Natural born" is not the same as "native born".

  • @RightSensible - why? I never said you had to rejoice.

I can rejoice enough for both of us.

  • @Hiraghm

To rejoice in the death of another is shameful and as a follower of the teachings of Christ I am insulted.

    NEWS FLASH

If you are born in the United States of America you are a natural born citizen. This is law. It makes no difference if one or neither parent is a U.S. citizen.

  • @Hiraghm Proverbs 24:17 At the fall of thine enemy rejoice not, And at his overthrow let not thine heart be glad;.

  • @Hiraghm Well I would assume a normal person would believe that.

  • @pizt - it's only hypocritical if you believe all lives to be equally valuable.

  • @Hiraghm What versus the million people who died in the Iraq / Afghanistan wars? It is hypocritical.

  • Sen Ihofe; correction @01:30...

You said, "since Obama's been President".

He's not President. His father was a foreign national at the time of his birth. He is not a "natural born citizen" and is therefor ineligible to hold the office of President.

  • @pizt - by rejoicing at the lives that may be saved by his death.
