And what is wrong with science, reason,and logic? Since when has it been considered arrogant to use your brain? I became an atheist based on what it DOESN'T offer: fairytales and false promises. It is arrogant to believe that the world OWES you hope or justice. Btw: I am neither affluent, an elitist, nor am i a "hipster"; i'm an ADULT. This is the 21st century, it's time to rid ourselves of these silly superstitions and GROW UP. LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT.

So what do these guys offer? Science? Reason? Many people (myself included) HAVE NO HOPE! We deal with debt, shitty jobs, bad relationships, health problems, addiction, every fucking day. So what are these guys selling? Atheism is an affectation of arrogant, affluent, elitist, hipsters, who look down their noses at "the common people" and scold them for not living in the "real world." Way to sell despair guys! I've already got it, so where do I send my money?

So then you accept that "God" is cruel? Why would you worship that? More to the point, you avoided nearly all of my questions.

Homophobia IS entirely nonsense. If you don't realize that HIV spreads just the same in heterosexual populations as in homosexual populations, then you are seriously deluded. Aside from that, does that mean that pre-HIV, homosexuality was totally fine?

It's all merely bigotry.

I agree that there is plenty of situations where "God" seems very cruel, and I don´t understand it all. I can´t neglect it, nor disproof it, but I do believe that for instance "homophobia" isn´t either pure nonesense - regarding to what scientist actually consider as somewhat dangerous. To love another man - would be anyones private decision, but to make love - might (over time) help spreading HIV, which I think is some of the concerns the Bible is warning about.

HOW on Earth is that positive?

Read the books yourself and you will see there is more negative action than positive in ANY main religion of the world. In the Bible alone, "God" kills 2,017, 956 people along with 65 entire cities, and the population of Earth during the supposed flood (no death toll given).
