This is a Classic ,British,Howard Clifford Gem Rotavator.
Twin cylinder, 810cc, 12 horsepower with spade lug wheels for maximum pulling power!
Three forward gears and reverse, easy starter and goes like a train!
Demonstrated flying the flag for a bit of fun and for the sound of the engine.
Not working in the dirt as I didn't have a camera man/woman available.

And what a b***stard they were to turn round at the end of the row, one had to lift the handles virtually above one's head to clear the blades out of the ground, don't know why I didn't use reverse gear more?

Most people lose the metal ( mud ) wheels and just end up using the tyre wheels.

I had both with mine.

i now own this fine machine, will be restored soon, allready been shown at abergavenny steam rally, will be an extensive rally goer next year, look out for a fleet of gems
