A basic CSI class was held at the Law Enforcement Center in Grand Island. The focus of the class was blood evidence. Several techniques and ideas were demonstrated. Timothy Whitfield, Director of Scientific Investigations for the Hernando County Florida Sheriff's Office was the instructor.

But just to get this straight, I am more interested in looking for evidence AND run work at the lab, is that for CSI or Foreinsic Scientists?
Because as far as I've been informed, CSI works in the scene, and after that, they leave it to the Foreinsic Scientists to finish the job. Which one would be better for me?

@Tomboysdude There is no such thing as a forensic science investigator. You may be thinking of crime scene technician or forensic science technician. A lot of the info you'll read will be from people who think they know what they're talking about. They typically do NOT interview witnesses. That is usually the job of the detective, maybe the coroner, and/or maybe the leader of a crime scene investigation team.
